The Mont-Blanc Countryside

The Mountain Nature Center is an exhibition space which is great for the whole family, from youngest to oldest. Located within a 14th century chateau, the centre presents information about all the Alps' natural treasures.

The Nature Reserve of Les Contamines-Montjoie covers the left side of the valley when you enter the village. Forests, pastures, torrents, rocks, snow and glaciers offer a fragile but wonderful alpine environment.

Created in 1991, this reserve protects a zone of 598 hectares that stages from 1090 till 2305 m.

From the top of the Bossons village, this delightful chairlift will tranport you over meadows and alpine chalets to an altitude of 1425m, where you can enjoy excpetional views of the Bossons glacier.
