To visit the Mont-Blanc Countryside

At the centre of the town, the fully renovated 18th Century fortified house is home to the cross-border house of the guides of Saint-Gervais-Courmayeur and an artist’s residence.

A living and open place that welcomes visitors, the Maison de la Mémoire et du Patrimoine [Heritage Centre] is designed to allow everyone to familiarise themselves with the heritage of Chamonix Mont Blanc Valley and to make it their own.

Authentic XIXth century farmhouse containing collections of objects and records from the past, illustrating the daily grind of the local population: domestic life, social life, mountain life…

The museum’s completion is the culmination of a collaboration between the Mineralogy Club and the town of Chamonix.

Housed in the former Chamonix-Palace which dates back to the early 20th C, the Musée Alpin records the development of Chamonix – from when the first tourists came to admire the glaciers right up to when the cable cars were built.

On the village’s edge, in the old Rectory, the Sacred Art Museum displays the treasures of the Saint-Nicolas church.
