A house dating from 1750 is home to the museum, recording the mountain way of life via the recreation of a traditional dwelling and displaying everyday objects in their original setting.

Located right in the heart of the historic center, the Museum of Megève is in the authentic frame of the former House of Charity, building of the XVIIth century endowed with a baroque chapel.

Just a short distance from the centre of Chamonix is this delightful chalet, the “Alpenrose”, which houses the studio and home of Marcel Wibault. The Chamonix-based artist spent his whole life painting his favourite subject, the mountains.
